Breast Lift
A breast lift (also known as a Mastopexy) is a procedure designed to correct sagging or droopy breasts by rejuvenating or enhancing the breast shape and position.
Who is it for?
Breast lift is a popular surgery amongst women whose breasts are sagging or droopy, usually as a result of pregnancy, weight loss or the natural ageing process.
A consultation regarding the risks and limitations of surgery will help you to choose a procedure that will meet with your expectations.
Considerations
The breast lift operation is carried out under a general anaesthetic and usually takes up to 3 hours. Before the operation, you may need to have a mammogram.
Breast lift surgery involves reshaping the breasts rather than restoring elasticity and may be combined with implants.
There will be swelling and discomfort for up to one week and you may need to wear a support bra for up to six weeks.
